Mini Gourmet Sausage Roll

For those of you intrigued as to where the sausage roll came from, it wasn't from those Brits after all - actually sausage rolls were staple food during Ancient Greek and Roman times. They often filled pastry with different ingredients including some meat. The first pastry wrapped beef and pork roll appeared in the 18th Century in Europe. Later on, during the First World War, the British started using crumbly pastry from croissants and wrapping it round beef and pork. This caught on and soon any host or hostess worth their salt would serve sausage rolls to guests...and here we are now, with the Brisk versions. We think ours are the best (naturally!).
