Arancini (stuffed rice balls) have been around for centuries based on recipes which were used in the Middle East during the Middle Ages. The dish then travelled to Italy making its home in Sicily. The reason the dish is called Arancini is because of the word Arancia which means orange and Arancini is usually a rich golden colour. Additionally, it’s also because of the Arancina rice they are made with – it’s flavoured and coloured with saffron!
Our Arancini are simply divine and we think they are the perfect addition to your guests’ menu, whether it’s for a lunch event or an evening celebration. A delightful twist on the traditional recipe, they are richly coated in golden crumbly, crispy bread crumbs and then deep-fried to create a delectable crunch. Slightly larger than you would expect but still ideal fingerfood, they are filled with the finest, softest mozzarella and risotto rice which melts in the mouth. We’ve also included our own special secret recipe for the tangy dipping sauce which we’re sure you agree complements the flavours to perfection.
